About the Role

A distinguished luxury retail group is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join the executive team and shape the financial strategy for its next phase of growth. With an established brand presence and ambitious expansion plans, the organisation requires a commercially astute leader who understands the balance between creativity and control.

The Role

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Board, the Chief Financial Officer will take full responsibility for financial strategy, governance, and capital management across the business. The role combines strategic oversight with operational rigour, ensuring the financial foundations remain strong while supporting brand-led growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute long-term financial strategy aligned with brand and growth objectives

  • Partner with the executive team to drive sustainable revenue growth and margin optimisation

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year planning across retail channels

  • Lead cash flow management, working capital discipline, and inventory strategy

  • Strengthen financial controls and governance within a premium brand environment

  • Provide insightful performance reporting and strategic challenge at Board level

  • Support expansion initiatives, store rollouts, and investment decisions

  • Oversee statutory reporting, audit processes, and compliance requirements

  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team aligned with brand values

Candidate Profile

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent)

  • Proven CFO or senior finance leadership experience within luxury retail or a premium consumer brand

  • Strong commercial acumen with experience protecting margin in brand-led environments

  • Deep understanding of inventory dynamics and cash discipline in a retail setting

  • Experience operating at Board level with gravitas and strategic influence

  • Balanced leadership style — commercially driven yet aligned to brand integrity
