About the Role

Harper May is working with a well-established independent entertainment company built around music promotion, artist management, and live touring. The business has grown steadily over the past five years through organic expansion and strategic partnerships across Europe and the US. As touring schedules intensify and management contracts expand, the finance function needs reinforcement to keep pace with operational complexity. They are now seeking a Finance Manager to embed proper financial discipline and insight into an increasingly international operation.

The Role
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will own the core finance operation: closing the books accurately each month, producing management accounts that stakeholders trust, and maintaining controls as the business scales across multiple territories and touring cycles. You will work directly with artist management, tour operations, and commercial teams, translating their activity into clear financial narrative.

  • Execute month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare management accounts and financial dashboards for board and operational review
  • Build and maintain tour-by-tour and artist-by-artist profitability analysis
  • Manage working capital, creditor payments, and cash forecasting across touring seasons
  • Support audit preparation, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting
  • Identify gaps in finance processes and systems, implementing improvements as the business grows
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain strong internal controls

What we are looking for

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or equivalent hands-on finance experience
  • Experience in media, entertainment, touring, or other project-driven sectors
  • Solid technical accounting knowledge and proficiency with management reporting
  • Ability to communicate financial insight to non-finance stakeholders clearly
  • Comfortable with multi-currency transactions and working across time zones
  • Proactive problem-solver who improves process rather than following process blindly
