About the Role

```html
Harper May is working with a B2B SaaS business in the London technology sector. The company is founder-led, Series B funded, and serving mid-market customers across Europe. With customer bases expanding and pricing models becoming more layered, the finance function needs stronger analytical capacity to support operational decision-making and board reporting. The business is now recruiting a Finance Analyst to build out its modelling and reporting capability.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide analytical support across finance, operations, and the commercial team. You will own monthly reporting cycles, build financial models for scenario planning, and help leadership translate operational metrics into financial outcomes. The role sits at the centre of how the business measures performance and evaluates resource allocation decisions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and commentary on financial and operational performance
  • Build and maintain financial models for forecasting, sensitivity analysis, and business case evaluation
  • Analyse customer acquisition costs, retention economics, and pricing performance to support commercial strategy
  • Support annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting processes with actuals tracking and narrative
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to make financial data accessible to operational teams
  • Liaise with external finance partners on compliance reporting and audit requirements
What we are looking for
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or equivalent experience in financial analysis and reporting
  • Background in technology, subscription, or growth-stage environments
  • Proficiency in Excel modelling and comfortable working with financial systems and data tools
  • Ability to distil complex data into clear, actionable insight for non-finance audiences
  • Detail-oriented approach to accuracy, combined with commercial thinking about business drivers
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves on ad hoc analysis and process improvement
