Financial Controller

Our client, a rapidly expanding FMCG business, is looking for a Financial Controller to support the next phase of growth and strengthen day-to-day financial operations. Role Overview
The Financial Controller will take ownership of core financial processes, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls, and clear analysis to guide commercial decision-making. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings a collaborative approach, and can partner effectively with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the production of monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting cycles, providing clear commentary and insight.
• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure consistent compliance across the organisation.
• Manage year-end processes and act as the main point of contact for external auditors.
• Manage and develop a small finance team.
• Support pricing, margin analysis, and product profitability reviews.
• Work closely with supply chain, operations, and commercial teams to deliver performance insight.
• Lead improvements across financial systems, reporting tools, and process automation.

Candidate Profile
• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with solid post-qualified experience.
• Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, or a fast-moving product-led environment is advantageous.
• Strong technical accounting skills with sound commercial awareness.
• Experience managing and developing finance teams.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across departments and present to senior leadership.
• Advanced Excel capability and familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or similar.
