Finance Manager

Harper May is working with a founder-led financial services firm based in London. The business manages client portfolios across investment and wealth planning, serving a growing client base of high-net-worth individuals and institutional investors. The firm has seen steady organic growth over the past three years and is now consolidating its operational infrastructure to support the next phase of expansion. Finance has become a priority as the business scales, and they are seeking a Finance Manager to build and strengthen their back-office capability.

The Role
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will own the full finance operation for the business. This covers month-end close, statutory and regulatory reporting, and day-to-day financial control. You will be the first dedicated Finance Manager in this newly-structured team, giving you genuine ownership and the chance to shape processes as the business grows.

• Lead the monthly close process and produce accurate financial statements and management accounts
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, and internal controls framework
• Prepare and coordinate statutory accounts, tax returns, and regulatory filings for the FCA
• Build and maintain cash flow forecasting and working capital management disciplines
• Review accounting processes and recommend improvements to efficiency and control
• Support budgeting and performance reporting to senior leadership
• Manage accounting software and data integrity across the finance function

What we are looking for

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or equivalent professional experience
• Hands-on experience in financial services, wealth management, or a regulated environment
• Technical accounting competence with demonstrable control and compliance experience
• Proven ability to manage month-end close and liaise with external auditors and regulators
• Comfortable with process improvement and working independently within a small team
