About the Role

Our client is a property and construction business delivering projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. With an active pipeline and multiple projects underway, the company continues to focus on improving financial visibility and control across its operations. To support this, they are seeking a Management Accountant to strengthen reporting and provide commercial insight across projects.

The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, the Management Accountant will be responsible for producing accurate management information and supporting financial decision-making across the business. The role offers close collaboration with project managers and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts with variance analysis and commentary

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning at project and group level

  • Monitor project costs, margins, and profitability across developments

  • Partner with project teams to track spend, variations, and financial performance

  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and support month-end close processes

  • Assist with year-end reporting and audit preparation

  • Improve reporting tools, financial models, and management information

  • Support process improvement initiatives within the finance function

Candidate Profile

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified or part-qualified

  • Previous experience in property, construction, or project-based environments

  • Strong understanding of project accounting and cost control

  • Confident communicator able to work effectively with non-finance stakeholders

  • High level of Excel and financial reporting capability

  • Detail-focused, commercially minded, and comfortable managing multiple projects
