Financial Controller

Our client is an established advertising business delivering creative campaigns and strategic marketing solutions to a diverse client base. Operating in a fast-paced, project-led environment, the company continues to grow and evolve its service offering. To support this development, they are seeking a Financial Controller to oversee financial reporting, control, and process improvement across the business.

The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, the Financial Controller will take ownership of financial control, reporting, and compliance, while providing commercial insight to support decision-making across the business. The role combines technical accounting responsibility with close collaboration across creative, client-facing, and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting

• Produce management accounts and statutory financial statements

• Maintain strong financial controls, governance, and balance sheet integrity

• Lead audit processes and act as the primary point of contact for external auditors

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

• Partner with senior stakeholders on project profitability and commercial performance

• Review and improve finance processes, systems, and reporting frameworks

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements

Candidate Profile

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified

• Previous experience in advertising, media, or project-based environments

• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise

• Confident communicator able to work effectively with non-finance stakeholders

• Detail-focused with a strong control mindset

• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
