Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead the financial accounting and reporting functions of the institution.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Monitor internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
  • Supervise and guide the finance team in day-to-day activities.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and manage budgets.
  • Provide financial insights to aid strategic decision-making.
  • Stay updated on relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible financial management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office suite.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to motivate and manage a team.
