Financial Controller

Harper May is collaborating with an exhilarating and swiftly expanding real estate group. My client is accountable for designing, constructing, and overseeing data centres for hyperscale clients worldwide. With intentions to expand even more, my client is in search of a new Financial Controller to join their team and contribute to their growth during this thrilling period.

Key Responsibilities for the Financial Controller.

• Preparation of management accounts together with supporting board report schedules

• Managing the forecasting and budgeting process

• Revenue related activities: Revenue recognition with supporting documentation

• PE reporting / Investor Reporting

• Weekly working capital reporting (cash, accrued revenue, debtors)

• Managing Payroll, pensions, and related matters

• Taxes: PAYE, VAT, CT and annual returns

• Banking and treasury

• Statutory accounts preparation and audit

• Continuous improvement of reporting and processes

• Ad-hoc queries as expected in a financial controller role

• Managing and mentoring of the team

Desired Skills and Experience: 

• Been a previous Financial Controller

• Fully qualified – ACA / CIMA / ACCA 

• Investor reporting experience is advantageous

• Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills are required 

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 

• Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and meet strict deadlines
