About the Role

Harper May is working with a growing entertainment business that is looking for a Finance Analyst to join its expanding finance team. The company operates across a range of creative and commercial entertainment activities and is continuing to build its financial capability to support growth, investment, and performance analysis.

This role will play an important part in supporting financial reporting, commercial analysis, and budgeting processes. The successful candidate will work closely with senior finance and operational teams to help translate financial data into clear insights that support decision-making across the business.

Role Overview

The Finance Analyst will assist with financial planning, performance tracking, and reporting across multiple areas of the business. The role offers strong exposure to commercial decision-making and is well suited to someone who enjoys working with data and providing meaningful financial insight in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support monthly management accounts and financial reporting processes

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting cycles across departments

  • Provide analysis of revenue streams, costs, and operational performance

  • Prepare financial models and scenario analysis to support business planning

  • Develop dashboards and reports to monitor financial and commercial performance

  • Partner with operational teams to provide financial insight and challenge assumptions

  • Support process improvements and enhancements to reporting systems

  • Assist with ad hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions

Candidate Profile

  • Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or equivalent

  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills

  • Advanced Excel and data analysis capability

  • Experience working with financial reporting and budgeting processes

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly

  • Commercially minded with an interest in understanding how the business operates

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, collaborative environment
