About the Role

Harper May is working with a founder-led SaaS business in the technology sector. The company scales B2B software solutions across EMEA, backed by strong recurring revenue and a growing customer base. Recent funding has accelerated product development and go-to-market investment, creating complexity around cost allocation, profitability tracking, and cash forecasting. The finance function is now strengthening its operational capability, and the business is seeking a Finance Manager to own day-to-day financial management and provide clearer visibility into business performance.

The Role
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will manage core finance operations and act as a financial business partner to the leadership team. You will own monthly close cycles, maintain accurate financial records, and produce reporting that informs strategic decisions around customer acquisition, product investment, and operational efficiency. The role sits at the intersection of compliance and commercial insight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, balance sheet reconciliation, and financial statement preparation
  • Produce timely monthly management accounts with commentary on variances and trends
  • Maintain accounting records, GL coding discipline, and compliance with relevant standards
  • Support cash flow forecasting and working capital management
  • Build and maintain financial models for scenario planning and board reporting
  • Work with commercial teams on customer profitability, contract terms, and pricing impact analysis
  • Identify control gaps and process improvements across the finance function

What we are looking for

  • ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified, or equivalent professional accounting experience
  • 5+ years in a finance operations or management accounting role, ideally in technology or SaaS
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with cloud accounting systems
  • Capable financial modeller with advanced Excel skills and familiarity with reporting tools
  • Proactive communicator who can explain financial data to non-finance stakeholders
  • Organised, thorough, and comfortable working in a growing business with occasional ambiguity
