About the Role

Harper May is partnering with an independent entertainment production company that creates content and live events for global audiences. The business has grown substantially over the past three years through a combination of organic expansion and strategic acquisitions, and it now operates across production, distribution, and talent management. The finance function is maturing to support this complexity, and the business is now recruiting a Finance Analyst to strengthen its analytical capability.

The Role
You will report to the Finance Manager and work within a lean but growing finance team. The role exists to build out the business's ability to track profitability across multiple revenue streams and production lines, and to provide the leadership team with the financial clarity needed to make investment and resource allocation decisions. You will sit at the intersection of finance and operations, translating commercial activity into structured financial insight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain financial records and assist with the preparation of monthly accounts and management reports
  • Build and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, costs, and cash flow across different production and event lines
  • Analyse profitability and variance across business units, identifying trends and cost drivers
  • Support annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting cycles with operational teams
  • Create visual reports and dashboards to track key performance metrics for senior management
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to evaluate new business opportunities and commercial partnerships
  • Assist with the implementation of financial systems and process improvements

What we are looking for

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification (part-qualified candidates considered)
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with financial modelling and scenario planning
  • At least two years' experience in a finance role with exposure to reporting and analysis
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Eagerness to understand the operational and commercial drivers of the business
