Management Accountant

A prominent media group is seeking a Management Accountant to join its expanding finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a range of fast-paced and commercially-driven business areas, including content creation, digital platforms, and commercial partnerships.

Role Overview:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Management Accountant will play a key role in delivering monthly accounts, providing insightful analysis, and supporting senior stakeholders with timely and accurate financial information. This role requires strong attention to detail, solid communication skills, and the ability to build relationships across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts with commentary and variance analysis

• Support budget holders through regular financial reviews and performance tracking

• Lead budgeting and quarterly reforecasting processes for assigned business areas

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and manage month-end close

• Analyse key revenue and cost streams, ensuring accurate recognition and reporting

• Assist with audit preparation and ensure compliance with financial controls

• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency

• Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting to support commercial and operational decisions

Candidate Profile:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or part-qualified

• Experience in a management accounting or similar role

• Strong Excel and financial systems skills

• Confident working with large data sets and communicating findings clearly

• Strong commercial awareness and an analytical mindset

• Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines
