About the Role
In a project-led business, the numbers have to tell the story early. Costs move, programmes shift, and cash is always working to a timeline. This property and construction business has a busy pipeline and multiple live developments, and they’re now looking to strengthen reporting and improve financial visibility across projects. The role suits a Management Accountant who enjoys getting close to the detail, partnering with project teams, and turning data into clear commercial insight.
The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, the Management Accountant will produce accurate management information and support financial decision-making across the business. You’ll work closely with project managers and operational teams, helping to track performance, monitor cost and margin, and improve the quality of reporting across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts with variance analysis and commentary

Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning at project and group level

Monitor project costs, margins, and profitability across developments

Partner with project teams to track spend, variations, and financial performance

Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and support month-end close processes

Assist with year-end reporting and audit preparation

Improve reporting tools, financial models, and management information

Support process improvement initiatives within the finance function
Candidate Profile
-
ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified or part-qualified

Previous experience in property, construction, or project-based environments

Strong understanding of project accounting and cost control

Confident communicator able to work effectively with non-finance stakeholders

High level of Excel and financial reporting capability

Detail-focused, commercially minded, and comfortable managing multiple projects
