About the Role
Our client, a leading retail company, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to strengthen financial reporting, enhance internal controls, and support the company’s continued business growth. Ideal candidates will have a background in FMCG, Manufacturing, or Retail, and hold a relevant finance qualification.
Role Overview:
As the Finance Manager, you will oversee the preparation of management accounts, improve financial controls, and provide essential financial insights to senior leadership. This role requires a detail-oriented and technically proficient finance professional to uphold financial integrity and support strategic decision-making in a fast-paced, growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow, and key financial metrics.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Drive improvements in financial reporting processes and internal controls, with a focus on intercompany transactions.
- Conduct regular balance sheet reviews and ensure the effective implementation of key financial controls.
- Provide technical accounting expertise to ensure adherence to financial policies and best practices.
- Assist in the preparation of annual statutory financial statements for multiple business entities.
- Support the year-end audit process, ensuring timely execution within budget.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance financial controls and reporting standards.
- Assist the Group Financial Controller with broader finance initiatives and strategic projects.
Qualifications & Skills:
- ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualified, with at least 5 years post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Strong experience in management reporting within an FMCG, Manufacturing, or Retail business.
- Expertise in financial and management accounting, with a solid focus on internal controls.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to solving financial issues.
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
- Experience in driving improvements in financial processes and reporting structures.
