Finance Manager

This financial services business operates within a structured, performance-driven environment where reporting quality, control, and consistency matter. As the organisation continues to strengthen its finance framework at group level, the finance team plays a key role in ensuring accurate reporting, robust controls, and dependable information for senior stakeholders. The business is now seeking a Finance Manager to support group reporting, consolidation, and financial control.

The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, the Finance Manager will take responsibility for group-level management reporting, balance sheet control, and technical accounting support. The role sits close to the Financial Controller and contributes to strengthening reporting processes, internal controls, and statutory delivery across the group.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and key metrics

• Prepare clear reporting packs and analysis to support senior finance leadership

• Drive improvements to monthly reporting processes, controls, and intercompany accounting

• Perform regular balance sheet reviews, reconciliations, and substantiation of key control accounts

• Provide technical accounting guidance and support the maintenance of accounting policies

• Support consolidation and preparation of annual statutory financial statements for group entities

• Contribute to planning and delivery of the year-end audit, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met

• Ensure the group’s financial control framework remains robust and compliant

• Identify and implement improvements to strengthen financial controls and reporting quality

• Support ad hoc Finance Manager responsibilities as required by the wider finance leadership team

Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)

• Strong experience in management reporting within a financial services or regulated environment

• Sound technical accounting knowledge covering both financial and management reporting

• Detail-focused with a strong control mindset

• Collaborative team player, comfortable working closely with senior finance stakeholders

• Confident communicator with the ability to explain accounting matters clearly
