About the Role

An established and growing FMCG business is seeking a Finance Director to join the executive team and lead financial strategy, commercial performance, and operational control across the organisation. With a broad product portfolio and multi-channel distribution, the business requires a leader who can balance growth ambition with financial rigour.
The Role
Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Board, the Finance Director will take full ownership of the finance function. This is a highly commercial leadership role, responsible for shaping long-term financial direction while ensuring robust reporting, cash management, and governance frameworks remain in place.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and deliver the financial strategy aligned to business growth objectives

Partner with sales, marketing, and operations to optimise margin and pricing strategy

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning across product lines and channels

Manage cash flow, working capital, and inventory performance

Strengthen financial controls, governance, and internal reporting frameworks

Provide clear performance insight and challenge at executive and Board level

Support strategic initiatives including expansion, product launches, and investment decisions

Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing finance team
Candidate Profile

ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified

Proven senior finance leadership experience within FMCG or a high-volume product-led environment

Strong commercial acumen with experience driving margin improvement and operational efficiency

Confident operating at executive and Board level

Demonstrated ability to balance strategic oversight with operational delivery

Credible leader with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
