A growing retail business with an expanding store and online presence is seeking a Finance Analyst to support commercial reporting, performance analysis, and planning across the organisation.

The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Analyst will play a key role in delivering timely analysis and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. This is a commercially focused role suited to a finance professional who is qualified or part-qualified and looking to develop within a fast-moving retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis

  • Analyse sales performance, gross margins, and promotional impact

  • Monitor stock movements and inventory performance

  • Assist with budgeting and reforecasting cycles

  • Provide insight into store and channel profitability

  • Maintain financial models and reporting tools

  • Support balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes

  • Contribute to improving reporting accuracy and financial controls

Candidate Profile

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified or part-qualified

  • Experience within retail or a high-volume, multi-site environment

  • Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel skills

  • Understanding of margin analysis and stock accounting principles

  • Commercially curious with the confidence to engage non-finance stakeholders

  • Organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working to tight deadlines
