In property and construction, performance is measured project by project. Strong financial analysis is what protects margin, controls risk, and supports confident investment decisions.

A growing property and construction group with an active development pipeline is seeking a Finance Analyst to strengthen financial reporting and provide clear commercial insight across live projects.

The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Analyst will take ownership of project-level financial analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting. This is a commercially visible role working closely with operational and senior stakeholders, offering exposure to funding, cash flow planning, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver detailed financial analysis across multiple development projects

  • Produce monthly management accounts with robust variance commentary

  • Monitor project budgets, cost movements, and margin performance

  • Support forecasting, scenario modelling, and long-term cash flow planning

  • Analyse WIP, cost-to-complete, and development profitability

  • Partner with operational teams to improve financial visibility and control

  • Support year-end processes and audit preparation

  • Contribute to improving financial models and reporting frameworks

Candidate Profile

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified

  • Experience within property, construction, or a project-led environment

  • Strong understanding of project accounting, WIP, and development cash cycles

  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability

  • Commercially minded with the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to operate in a fast-paced setting
