Finance Analyst

Harper May is working with a leading consulting business that is expanding its financial operations and looking to appoint a commercially focused Finance Analyst. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, project-based environment where financial insight plays a key role in strategic planning and performance optimisation.

Role Overview:
As Finance Analyst, you will work closely with the Head of Finance and key stakeholders across the business to deliver financial analysis, support forecasting and budgeting, and provide data-driven insights to influence decision-making. The role offers excellent exposure to commercial activity and the chance to shape financial processes in a growing consultancy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver insightful financial reports, dashboards, and analysis

• Support the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts

• Conduct variance analysis and performance reviews across service lines

• Business partner with operational teams to support project costing, pricing, and profitability

• Assist in month-end reporting and KPI tracking

• Contribute to the development of internal reporting tools and process improvements

• Support ad-hoc analysis for senior leadership and Board-level reporting

Candidate Profile:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA fully qualified

• Previous experience in a finance or analyst role within a consulting or professional services firm preferred

• Strong analytical and Excel skills; experience with BI tools or modelling software desirable

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial data clearly

• Commercially aware, detail-focused, and able to work across multiple priorities
