About the Role

A high-growth technology business is entering a new stage of scale, with increasing focus on financial discipline, performance visibility, and long-term value creation. With product investment continuing and commercial complexity rising, the business is strengthening its leadership team to ensure planning, governance, and funding strategy keep pace with growth. They are now seeking a Chief Financial Officer to partner closely with the CEO and Board and provide strategic financial leadership across the organisation.

The Role
Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Board, the Chief Financial Officer will take ownership of financial strategy, governance, and the overall performance framework of the business. This role blends strategic input with hands-on leadership, supporting commercial decision-making, investment planning, and sustainable growth in a product-led environment.

You will play a central role in guiding financial planning, shaping investor engagement, and ensuring the business has the right controls, reporting, and insight to support scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the financial strategy in line with business objectives

  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, providing insight and challenge on performance and growth

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management across the business

  • Lead capital planning, fundraising activity, and investor relations

  • Build and lead a high-performing finance function, embedding scalable processes and controls

  • Support commercial strategy, pricing models, and unit economics

  • Ensure robust financial controls, governance, and reporting frameworks are in place

  • Oversee statutory reporting, audit processes, and compliance with accounting standards

  • Manage tax planning and ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements

Candidate Profile

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, with senior finance leadership experience

  • Background in technology, software, or high-growth, product-led businesses

  • Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting scaling organisations

  • Confident communicator with experience operating at Board and investor level

  • Proven track record of leading finance teams through periods of growth or transformation

  • Strong financial modelling, systems, and data capability

  • Experience in investor-backed or high-growth environments is highly desirable
