About the Role

As a SaaS business grows, the expectations on group reporting and financial control increase quickly. Consolidation needs to be consistent, balance sheet discipline needs to be tight, and reporting packs need to stand up to scrutiny. This technology business is strengthening its finance function to support scale, improve reporting quality, and ensure controls keep pace with the organisation’s development. They are now seeking a Finance Manager to lead group reporting activity and support the wider control environment.

The Role
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, the Finance Manager will take responsibility for consolidated management reporting, balance sheet control, and technical accounting support across group entities. The role sits at the centre of month-end delivery, audit readiness, and the continuous improvement of reporting processes and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee consolidated monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and key metrics

  • Prepare clear reporting packs and supporting analysis for senior finance review

  • Drive improvements to monthly reporting processes and internal controls, including intercompany accounting

  • Conduct regular balance sheet reviews, reconciliations, and substantiation of key controls

  • Provide technical accounting guidance and support the maintenance of accounting policies

  • Support consolidation and preparation of annual statutory financial statements for group entities

  • Contribute to planning and delivery of the year-end audit, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met

  • Ensure the financial control framework remains robust and reporting obligations are delivered to a high standard

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen the control environment and oversee implementation

  • Support ad hoc Finance Manager responsibilities as required by the Group Financial Controller

Candidate Profile

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified

  • Demonstrated experience in management reporting within a multi-entity or group environment

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge across financial and management reporting

  • Detail-focused with a strong control mindset and a high standard of accuracy

  • Collaborative working style, comfortable supporting shared team objectives

  • Confident communicator, able to work effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders
