Job Description

Harper May is working with a global construction company, which specialises in urban regeneration and home building across the globe, delivering on complex projects designed to produce quality spaces for people to live within, improving their quality of life. This company has a significant global presence, operating on 5 continents and in over 30 countries, and acts as one of the major players within this deeply polarised market. In the wake of other major competitors struggling in the current market, the company has posted significant increases both in terms of turnover and operations across the globe, securing numerous lucrative contracts and starting operations in new areas of the world. To help drive the business further forward in this progress, the company is looking to bring in a new UK Finance Director to provide stewardship to the companies large financial operations, this is a very lucrative opportunity, offering the opportunity to work in a large, dynamic multinational corporation with significant international exposure.


Key responsibilities:

* To prepare a corporate strategy and annual business plan to ensure that the company attains its objectives as cost-effectively and efficiently as possible
* Manage the finance team efficiently and aid in development
* Work with the UK CEO on the strategic vision including forecasting and cultivating stakeholder relationships
* Participating and developing new business opportunities for the group
* Ensuring that adequate controls are installed and maintained
* Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal activities for the organisation including revenue/expense and balance sheet reports
* Monitor banking activities of the division
* Oversee the production of monthly reports as well as financial statements and cash flow projections
* Review and monitoring of Group tax position, calculations and filings



Desired Skills and Experience:

* Fully qualified
* Must have extensive experience in leading and developing finance functions
* Previous construction experience is essential
* Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
* Previous experience of managing and developing staff
* Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and meet strict deadlines
* Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
* Excellent Excel skills
