Job Description

A brilliant opportunity has come up for a temporary Accounts Assistant who has experience in the hotel industry, to join the finance team of a successful Hotel group. The group own over 20 Hotels around the UK and have shown rapid growth in recent times allowing them to begin the budgeting process to acquire new sites in the near future. The group is currently turning over £70 million. The role will be based in Hertfordshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up new supplier details and payment terms correctly on the system
  • Promptly register all invoices and expense claims as required
  • Process invoices promptly and accurately, matching to POs when necessary
  • Process expenses and corporate card expenses
  • Reconcile supplier accounts on a monthly basis prior to payment
  • Resolve supplier queries on a prompt and professional basis
  • Create and email remittance advices to suppliers
  • Prepare sales invoices for players' hospitality expenses (hotels, car bookings etc.)
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • Manage bank accounts and perform daily bank reconciliations
  • Perform petty cash reconciliations

Requirements:

  • Degree educated
  • 2 years experience in a commercial setting
  • Previous experience using Sage 50 is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in the hotel industry
