Job Description

Harper May is currently working with a global proprietary investment firm covering multiple asset classes, based in London. The Financial Planning and Analysis team aims to support various stakeholders within the organisation with their decision making, through high quality management reporting and financial analysis. The role of Head of Investor Relations will be to take ownership of the regular reporting suite, seeking to continually improve quality, augment information and automate processes. The role will also take responsibility for a variety of ad hoc reporting tasks and pieces of analysis to support operational and investment decision making.

Key Responsibilties:


* Produce the quarterly Board report
* Re-engineer production of monthly and quarterly management reporting packs
* Prepare presentations for the companies' Investment Committee, as well as the Assets and Liabilities Committee and Capital Committee
* Provide commercial insight, analysis and decision support to the business
* Build robust business relationships with key stakeholders to develop a keen, commercial understanding of business requirements
* Work with the FP&A Director and CFO to produce ad-hoc management information for a variety of internal and external audiences
* Support the quarterly valuation process
* Assist with the management and development of all aspects of the Finance team, including compliance with regulations, financial accounts and reporting, and other financial controls and procedures
* Drive the ongoing development of key finance technology

* Good planning, prioritisation, problem solving and organisational skills; good experience of anticipating needs and communicating continuously, taking care of details, keeping stakeholders well informed of status/progress
* Robust analytical and numerate ability (including modelling skills) coupled with a highly commercial outlook; used to helping a business achieve its objectives
* The ability to multi-task in a very fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Self-motivated, energetic with strong attention to detail
* The ability to link operational with accounting issues
