Job Description
Harper May are currently working with a well known Mediterranean restaurant group who have expanded rapidly to 30 restaurants. The group has expanded over the years but the values have remained the same. They are looking for a Financial Controller to manage a team of four.
Key Duties:
- Oversee month end financials and management of team of 4
- Oversee and report monthly financials, including cash-flow, budgets, and forecasts.
- Oversee team managing Fixed Asset Register, ledger and posting of the depreciation journal.
- Oversee weekly, monthly suppliers' statements reconciliation, to ensure that all the costs have been included in the accounts and the necessary accruals have been added.
- Responsibility for year end accounts and audit process
- Manage team with respect to accruals and prepayments schedules and posting of relevant journals on a monthly basis.
- Maintain the utilities accounts; reconcile the actual utilities consumption against the accrued amounts. Posting the balancing journals on a quarterly basis.
- Improves processes and procedures and systems.
- Work closely with non finance staff at restaurants.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in the hospitality or multi site industry desirable
- Qualified Accountant - ACCA/CIMA/ACA
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent Excel skills
- Leadership skills
