Job Description

One of Europe's leading design led casual hotel chains is currently looking for a Finance Manager for its London HQ. The brand operates roughly c200 sites around Europe and the UK and following sizeable PE investment last year is now looking to expand into the APAC region. This role will be responsible for the group's UK entities with potential to oversee more in Europe as the group grows in the coming years.
With a real focus on design and environment the group has created a vision that is set to grow exponentially in the coming years. The ideal candidate MUST have prior hotels experience as well as an accredited accountancy qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consolidated monthly management accounts for the UK site portfolio
  • Strong and trusting relationships established with all key stakeholders, including finance team, internal Heads of Department, General Managers and internal/external auditors.
  • 100% compliance with all internal control procedures for the hotels
  • Opportunities for transformational change in financial reporting across the hotels and wider finance team identified and/or implemented.
  • Drive change in financial reporting through streamlining systems and processes
  • Ensure that all financial reporting is timely and accurate. In particular, the consolidated monthly management accounts in line with deadlines
  • Overall Responsibility for balance sheet control, including ensuring 100% compliance of balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
  • Build meaningful relationships with all key stakeholders, and in particular, the CFO, Finance Directors for hotels, Head of Shared Services, internal Heads of Department and internal/external auditors.
  • Understand the drivers of EBITDA for hotels, including KPIs. Communicate trends and opportunities to improve EBITDA with the Commercial finance team in a timely and proactive manner.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Experience of succesfully leading teams is essential, whilst experience in a similar role will be an advantage.
  • Hotels experience is a MUST
  • Advanced MS excel knowledge
  • Accountancy and finance degree
