Job Description

My client is an established and highly prestigious Financial Services institution. The company, based in Central London, is currently seeking a Finance Director to join their expert team. This role will specifically focus on the global working capital for the organization. This senior role will cover 12 global territories and act as a key member of the leadership team. The successful candidate will come from a financial services/insurance background and have extensive strategic working capital experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the management of the credit control cycle, developing and sharing best practice in business processes and working capital reporting
  • Liaise with the Operations manger to ensure that requirements for improved credit control are implemented by the invoicing teams
  • Develop key relationships with the global senior leadership team
  • Develop and implement a strategy to improve the effectiveness of the working capital organisation, people systems and processes
  • Develop and implement incentive schemes for working capital performance, inspire innovative ways of working and lead intervention programmes for challenging areas of the business
  • Further develop and monitor a suite of working capital KPIs and set targets for monitoring debtor performance
  • Develop and embed a global communications and reporting plan

Key Requirements:

  • London market experience required Prior experience in delivering measurable improvements in working capital management
  • A strategic thinker with significant experience of implementing change management processes, ideally in loss adjusting or insurance broking
  • Working capital people management experience including virtual management of global based teams
  • Has the ability to understand historical working patterns to be able to create positive behavioural change
  • An excellent stakeholder manager with the ability to build strong networks to be able to deliver successful outcomes
  • Excellent analytical skills
