Job Description

Harper May is working with a specialist, Ecommerce Company based in central London. This company specialises in the sale of high class, bespoke lighting products for commercial and household use. This company has gained significant traction in recent years, with their products becoming increasingly sought after and their operations have more than doubled. The company itself has also secured numerous funding options from investors, as their projected growth, within this rapidly growing industry makes the company a very lucrative investment opportunity. The company's turnover almost tripled within the past 3 years to nearly £20million in 2017, with projections indicating that 2018 will bring even further increases. In response to this the company have outlined ambitious plans for further expansion, with the hope to become the market leader within this sector within the next 5 years. In order to help drive these ambitious plans and assist with the increase in operations, the company is looking to bring in a new, ambitious Finance Director to provide stewardship to the finance department.

  • Leading, developing and expanding the finance team
  • Complete oversight of the day-today running of finance
  • Business partnering closely with the Marketing Director and other senior stakeholders to ensure the group hits its strategic milestones
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting process
  • Oversee the financial planning and budgeting processes for new territories
  • Offering key strategic advice and analysis in relation to international expansion and effective growth strategy



Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Fully qualified ACA would be advantageous
  • Have Ecommerce experience
  • Must have extensive experience in leading and developing finance functions
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
  • Previous experience of managing and developing staff
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Previous experience in a rapidly growing business
