Job Description

Harper May is working with one of the world's most exciting Media Production Businesses based in London. Our client is actively seeking a talented and ambitious Director of FP&A to lead the team. The ideal candidate will have lead FP&A teams in the past and have media experience.
Working within the senior management team, this role has primary responsibility for planning and forecasting across the group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the on-going outlook process ensuring latest business developments are being captured and their impacts across P&L, balance sheet and cash flow are being monitored and communicated on a timely basis
  • Deliver an engaging and timely annual budget and 3 year plan to senior leadership
  • Oversee monthly financial and KPI reporting packages
  • Preparing and presenting budget and forecast results to senior management
  • Coordinate with the wider finance, investor relations and business teams on the outlook and budget process ensuring all assumptions are robustly challenged
  • Direct oversight over FP&A team and Finance Business Partners
  • Support business partners in having the best information and analysis to challenge leaders and drive optimum decision making
  • Identifying trends and being able to clearly communicate findings
  • Collaboration with the Investor Relations Team on Analyst and Quarterly Earnings presentations
  • Lead integration of acquired businesses FP&A activities to ensure timely and accurate information is available at a group level
  • Analyse gaps in process controls to deliver group FP&A processes required for a listed business


  • 15 years of senior FP&A or equivalent experience
  • Experience of overseeing an FP&A team during a period where a company transitions from being a private to a public company would be ideal
  • A self-starter that thrives in a dynamic environment and demonstrates financial acumen and experience delivering quantitative analysis
  • Analytical, with a passion for learning and delivering innovative customer centric solutions
  • Previous experience successfully managing high performing global teams
