Job Description

Harper May is currently working with a high growth multi-site retail business based in Soho. The company are currently seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to join their team. The company prides itself on its extremely popular brand, and has received many endorsements from celebrities worldwide. Furthermore, our client has grown exponentially since inception in 2011 and is looking to List by 2020. This newly created role will take responsibility for managing a small team, and will contribute to all strategic decisions taken by the company. The successful candidate will be fully ACA qualified with experience in industry.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing and developing a small team of part-qualified accountants
  • Offering insightful input regarding the strategic plans of the organisation
  • Providing ad hoc analysis on costs and reporting to the board
  • Cultivating key stakeholder relationships and developing new business opportunities
  • Business partnering with other senior leaders to ensure the company hits its strategic milestones
  • Management, preparation and production of the annual budget
  • Production of rolling three-year forecasts
  • Oversight of financial and management accounts for the company
  • Implementing and maintaining first class controls and systems

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Fully qualified ACA would be advantageous
  • Must have prior retail/wholesale and ecommerce experience
  • Strong technical accounting skills are highly desirable
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
  • Previous experience of managing and developing staff
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent Excel skills
