Job Description

Harper May are currently working with a luxury life style brand based in London Central who are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant on a interim basis. Our clients inspire their highly engaged community on social media through their stunning online platforms, where they feature only the most desirable items within the world of fashion attracting high end clients to work with them. The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who has previously worked for a luxury fashion brand.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Daily review of all sales invoices raised to ensure these have been correctly prepared by the sales teams

· Raising credit notes and re-issuing invoices where required

· Preparing regular debtor ageing reports by shopper - notifying the relevant shopper of any outstanding invoices and ensuring cash is correctly allocated

· Reviewing and actioning sales invoice queries with a sense of urgency, with a target to have each invoice reviewed and moved to the next stage within two hours of receipt

· Monitoring payments received across all necessary payment methods and reconciling these to the bank

· Preparation and reconciliation of the monthly/quarterly brand commission invoices

· Raising purchase bills in the accounting system ensuring the correct VAT documentation has been provided by the shoppers

· Assisting with the monthly VAT status check for all sales invoices and purchase bills

· Assisting with reports / analysis preparation

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:

· Part qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)

· Previous exposure to international VAT is desired

· Self-organised with strong time management, self-disciplined, excellent attention to detail, able to work under pressure and deadlines

· Ability to learn quickly, plan, multi-task and prioritise

· Proficient in Excel and Word
