Finance Director Jobs in City of London

A Finance Director role will involve extensive business partnering and working with stakeholders to drive the growth of the business. 

Key Responsibilities of a Finance Director (FD):

  • Leading and developing a finance team

  • Setting company budgets and offering detailed forecasts

  • Providing in depth benchmarking and competitor analysis

  • Business partnering with local site accountants to analyse the performance of individual sites and draw regional comparisons

  • Oversight of the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting compiled by the finance team

  • Leading on internal audit and tax compliance

Desired Skills and Experience of a Finance Director (FD):

  • Must be fully ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified

  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills

  • Previous experience of managing and developing staff

  • Excellent Excel skills

The City of London is the hub of business activity in London and is the is one of the central business districts of the world. 

It is known as 'the square mile' because it is 1.12 square miles in area. It contains several professional services centres including Insurance, Legal and of course, Finance. 

Liverpool Street and Bank are closest to the insurance activity which is centred around the Lloyd's building near Leadenhall Market. 

Temple and Chancery Lane are all close to the Legal inns of court and are also inside the boundaries of the square mile.
